Launched in 1976 by Van Cleef & Arpels and composed by Jean-Claude Ellena, First (Eau de Parfum) opens with aldehydes, blackcurrant, peach and bergamot, turns to narcissus, carnation, hyacinth and jasmine at the heart and dries down to civet, honey, musk and oakmoss. Its main accords are floral, spicy, chypre, oriental and powdery.
