Launched in 1922 by Chanel and composed by Ernest Beaux, N°22 (Parfum) opens with aldehydes, lily of the valley, neroli and orange blossom, turns to ylang-ylang, jasmine, rose and nutmeg at the heart and dries down to frankincense, iris, vanilla and vetiver. Its main accords are powdery, floral, sweet, smoky and spicy.
