Launched in 1927 by Chanel and composed by Ernest Beaux, Cuir de Russie Russia Leather (Parfum) opens with clary sage, mandarin orange, bergamot and lemon, turns to iris, ylang-ylang, carnation and cedar at the heart and dries down to leather, amber, heliotrope and vanilla. Its main accords are leathery, spicy, floral, woody and animal.
